Network Events, Inc. (NEI) and NBC4 are partnering to produce and promote the 17th annual NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo on January 16 and 17 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

This free to the public event is expected to draw tens of thousands of attendees. Health-conscious consumers come to the event to receive free potentially life saving health tests and screenings and valuable medical and health information, and to participate in a variety of interactive sports and activities that are fun for the whole family. Attendees will enjoy Healthy Cooking demonstrations, soccer, rock climbing, a community blood drive, and many more activities that are designed to engage and entertain. NBC4 TV will be aggressively promoting the event in the weeks leading up to the Expo with an on-air advertising campaign reaching more than 3 million viewers per week. We expect to see more than 85,000 people from the Washington Metropolitan area at this one-of-a-kind event!

Surveys at last year's Washington DC Health & Fitness Expo indicated that:

• 91% of attendees said they would recommend the Expo to a friend next year,
• 88% had health insurance,
• 69% said they were more likely to consider Expo sponsors in their health options after their Expo experience,
• 67% had a household income of over $50,000, and 30% had a household income of over $100,000.
